Investing 101 - The Building Blocks of Investing

My name is Jimmy Copell. I grew up in Boston, and I now live in NJ. I went to Boston university for my bachelors and got my masters in finance from Creighton University. Coming out of college, I got a job as an analyst for a hedge fund, and from there I moved to a registered investment advisor, once again as an analyst. As time went on and I got more experience, and I eventually became a portfolio manager, managing two different strategies, a core equity strategy and a dividend strategy. Eventually, management sold the company to a larger organization.

Well, I went on a few interviews - and then, I decided that I should start my own company (which is what I always wanted to do anyways). So, in February of 2017, I launched JWC research, an independent investment research firm. JWC provides professional investors with investment ideas and research reports supported by in-depth research. We also manage portfolios for some of our clients and recently launched a hedge fund. On top of that, I also have a YouTube channel called "learn to invest." dedicated to teaching people the basics of investing. I have been investing for over 20 years and look forward to sharing my experience with you.
